Fire Safety Training for Businesses

We offer some of the most up to date training courses available for businesses, which are delivered by experienced Fire Safety Officer's. Courses include:

Fire Safety Managers Training

This is a one day course, lasting around six hours in total, ideally suited for staff within an organisation who have a managerial role and who may be nominated as the "responsible person". The course will give staff an awareness of fire safety legislation and how it applies to their premises. Managers will have a greater understanding of the fire safety training their staff should receive in order to maintain satisfactory standards. The course includes fire marshalling and selection and use of fire extinguishers.

• Fire Safety Legislation
• Legal requirements
• Role of Staff and Fire Marshals
• Fire plans and evacuation procedures
• Safe means of escape
• Triangle of combustion
• Causes of fire
• Selection and use of fire extinguishers
• Practical demonstration
• Staff hands on use of fire extinguishers

Fire Marshal Training

This session lasts approximately three hours and is designed to give staff an awareness of fire safety within their premises and their role as a fire marshal. Fire marshals should have a greater understanding of evacuation procedures, so that they can direct persons present at the time of a fire alarm sounding, they should also be familiar with the correct method of selection and use of fire extinguishers.

• Practical demonstration

Fire Extinguisher Training

This session lasts approximately one and a half hours and is designed to give staff an awareness of how fires can start and how to select and use an appropriate fire extinguisher.

Session includes:

• Triangle of combustion
• Causes of fire
• Selection and use of fire extinguishers
• Practical demonstration
• Staff hands on use of fire extinguishers

Fire Safety Awareness Training

This session lasts approximately one and a half hours and is designed to give staff an awareness of fire safety within their premises. Staff will have a greater understanding of their responsibilities and the action they should take in case of fire.

Session Includes:

• Basic fire safety and legislation
• Fire plans and evacuation procedures
• Safe means of escape
• Staff responsibilities to prevent fire

Fire-Fighter Training for Occupational and Works Fire Brigades

We also provide bespoke training for Independent and Works Fire Teams, with courses ranging from basic defensive Fire Fighting to role specific training, including Breathing Apparatus Wearer.
